A progressive evaluation system designed to identify and develop thoughtful, articulate speakers.
The Verbattle Speech Competition evaluates the participant's ability to understand a topic, develop a balanced perspective, organise ideas effectively, and communicate them within a limited preparation period.
Unlike conventional speech competitions that reward memorisation or delivery alone, the Verbattle Speech Competition evaluates depth of understanding, balanced perspective, logical organisation, and communication under limited preparation time.
A personal invitation from the Founder and Chief, Mr. Deepak Thimaya, is sent to the heads of educational institutions introducing the Verbattle Speech Competition and its educational objectives. Participation is open to all eligible institutions.
The Verbattle Telecalling Team contacts educational institutions to confirm receipt of the invitation, answer queries, provide clarifications, and assist schools in the participation process.
Interested schools identify students suitable for the Speech Competition. Each participating school appoints a Mentor Teacher who serves as the principal point of contact between the school, participants, and Verbattle throughout the competition.
Schools complete the registration process with the assistance of the Verbattle Team. Relevant information, learning resources, and competition details are made available to participating institutions.
Where considered necessary, the Chief Mentor or an authorised Verbattle Resource Person conducts a complimentary Orientation Session for participants and Mentor Teachers to explain the Verbattle Speech format, judging parameters, preparation methods, and expectations.

It is a progressive evaluation system designed to identify individuals capable of thinking independently, organising ideas logically, communicating responsibly, and presenting balanced perspectives under realistic preparation conditions.
Each successive level demands greater maturity of thought, stronger organisation, and higher standards of presentation. The objective is not merely to identify good speakers, but to develop thoughtful individuals capable of influencing society through informed, responsible, and effective communication.
Registration opens several weeks before each competition season. Stay connected for updates.
