Verbattle 2010
Verbattle 2010 is a mega event where the two most important competitive events of Verbattle for students in age group of 12 to 24 year are held. Verbattle Junior and Verbattle Senior will be conducted simultaneously as the biggest debating tournaments in Karnataka. Verbattle Beginner for primary school students will be conducted this year in November..

Larger reach
Verbattle is directly approaching 2500 schools and 1500 colleges this year inviting participants for Verbattle 2010.

Parents workshop
Parents workshop is being held as an attempt to engage parents in this participative exercise. Verbattle has found the need to enlist support of parents of participats to enable the initiative to grow into a socially viable activity.

Editorial Board
Verbattle now has an editorial panel set up to govern and manage content in the website. Mr. Vinayaka Ramakrishna has been appointed the editor and the panel will consist of a small group of selected students and teachers.

Verbattle is going National this year
Verbattle  Junior will be the first national event of Verbattle to be conducted in September 2010. It will be a large and unique exercise. Team Verbattle is looking for sponsors, supporters, volunteers, organizations and other interested like minded individuals to come forward and support this endeavour.

Verbattle Club
Verbattle Club will be inaugurated on the 1st of August in Mangalore during the Zonal Clamber event. All registrations processes and setting up of units will be completed before the month end.

Zonal Clamber selection process.

Zonal Clamber: Teams, after getting selected through the internal process, in some cases go through vigorous and systematic training in being prepared for Verbattle. The school is allowed to send maximum of 5 teams fulfilling all the terms and conditions in the registration formalities. Schools may send even 1 team or in most cases even 5 teams. There is no compulsion about it. The teams are restricted to 5 only to facilitate for more schools to participate and to keep a control over conduct of the event by not diluting the gravity and the frame work.

The selected teams will have 2 members each in a team and an ideal team would consist of the members who are capable of speaking any side of the argument at the shortest notice or sometimes even without notice and immediately. The students selected for the Zonal Clamber prepare on any one of the 50 Zonal Clamber debate statements announced on the Website. It is compulsory that out of the two students, one student speaks defending the statement and the other, prepares to oppose the statement.

All the teams from the Zones registered in the Zonal Clamber get the same time duration and particularly to show the ability to speak for and against the selected statement. The purpose would be to select the top teams based on the right combination of the team, based on the sense of team members, their presentation skills, body language, voice, knowledge, vocabulary, attitude, time management, engagement of the audience and other important factors.

Time per participant 2 min. Total time for a team is 4 min.
