Verbattle is the acronym of Verbal Battle.
The biggest debate and dialogue platform founded and cultivated to facilitate thought-interaction at all levels in our multidimensional society.
Verbattle, started in 2005, has been reaching out to school children in the form of Verbattle Junior and to college youth as Verbattle Senior - two major debate competitions which can be easily considered as the biggest intellectual event for children and youth in the state of Karnataka.
Verbattle aims to grow into a national event, and thereafter, as a global opportunity for exchange of opinions.
Verbattle Junior, as a state level debate tournament in English for school children started in 2005. Since then, it has successfully completed 3 years as an annual event.

With a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and a bouquet of other prizes, Verbattle Junior is an attractive event for school students.
Since it is important to cultivate among children the art of speaking sensibly and responsibly and to develop the culture of listening to opposing or differing opinions in an attempt to inspire the sparking of leadership in the citizens of tomorrow, Verbattle Junior is the kind of an event that needs support and encouragement from all who are interested in and committed to the future of our great nation.
Verbattle Junior, as a unique competition of its kind and as an unparalleled thought platform has evinced great interest in school authorities to encourage students to participate at all levels of the competition.
Hundreds of schools and school children have participated in the three years of the event which each time starts off at the school level and moves on as contests held at Zonal, State Prelim, state level Quarter Final, Semi Final and ultimately culminating in the State Final which results in the emergence of one winner.
Verbattle till now has been supported by Wockhardt Hospitals, Britannia Industries, MSIL, Confident Group, IL&FS, HDFC and many other business and public institutions.
This year is the 4th year of Verbattle Junior.
The competition will be held in the first half of August, 2008.
