"Confident Group presents Verbattle Senior – 2007" the 10 day State level English debate competition for college students, concluded on the 11th February in Gurunanak Bhavan.

The Chief Guest, Justice Santhosh Hegde, Lok Ayuktha, Karnataka, gave away the cash prize of Rs.1 lakh to the winners Mr. Mohammed Shoaib Shirazi and Mr. K. Sai Krishna of St. Joseph's Pre-University of College.

Two finalists Team, Ms.Anjali Anirudhan and Ms.Amudha M, from M.E.S.College of Arts, Science & Commerce and Ms. Shamoli Ravishanker and Ms. Saumyaa Vohra of Vidya Niketan School, won Rs.30,000/- each.

The trophies were given by Mr. C.J. Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of Confident Group – the Sponsors to the Event.

Mr. Deepak Thimaya the Conceptualizer and Consultant to Verbattle announced that the cash prize for Verbattle Senior-2008 would be Rs.2 lakhs and thereafter every year would increase by a lakh of rupees.
